The Finance Department is seeking summer interns with interest in joining the full-time Finance Rotational Development Program upon graduation. Summer interns are placed within the Finance organization in areas such as Treasury, Audit, Financial Planning & Analysis, Operational Finance, and Division Controllership. Over the course of the summer, interns will take individual ownership over a project including data gathering, comprehensive analysis, and preparation of findings, solutions, and recommendations to senior leaders.

The finance team at Delta is a key contributor to the continuing evolution of our business model for long-term success. Program participants receive focused attention to help grow their interdepartmental network as well as professional development opportunities. In addition to the rotational aspect, the program offers opportunities to network with senior leaders across the organization, gain exposure to other areas of the business, and mentorship opportunities.


What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
  • You are a rising senior in an undergraduate program with a graduation date of December 2025 or Spring/Summer 2026. 
  • Must be able to work onsite at our Atlanta, GA office for the duration of the internship.
  • You have demonstrated the ability to interpret data, use it to form concrete business actions, and present findings.
  • You are a creative problem solver with a familiarity of economic concepts.
  • You can work in a time-sensitive environment and effectively prioritize tasks.
  • You thrive in team settings. You collaborate well, learn from others, and use your skills to help them.
  • You are a proactive, clear communicator.
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data. 
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles. 
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. 
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States. 
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

         Ability to digest large amounts of data and information and succinctly explain what can be learned from the data and how it can support decision making

         Ability to develop effective presentations that help explain a need, the analysis and the findings and recommendations to leaders in an efficient and effective manner

         Desire to learn leadership techniques and best practices in problem solving and conflict resolution to enable innovation and progress on difficult to solve challenges of our customers
