We have an exciting opportunity for a Wheel & Brake Engineer to join our Aerospace division. Youll have the chance of working on some innovative technologies in a state of the art building. Your responsibilities
- Support performance calculations and simulations to ensure equipment meets design requirements under the guidance of the Lead W&B Engineer; lead small sub-projects as needed.
- Create and review technical requirement documents in accordance with government and company standards, ensuring alignment with customer requirements.
- Assist the Lead W&B Engineer and Designer throughout new product development phases, including requirements management, design, testing, and entry into service.
- Track key metrics (NRC, DTC, DMC, reliability, weight) during the development process and coordinate with engineering functions to meet program targets.
- Collaborate with stress, thermal, vibration, and reliability analysis engineers to ensure designs meet performance margins and support Design for Manufacture (DFM) while achieving cost targets.
- Participate in design reviews, support Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) initiatives, and actively contribute to Continuous Improvement (CI) efforts within the W&B Centre of Excellence.
You will have:
- A degree in Engineering - ideally Aerospace Engineering
- The ability to follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data.
- Be able to build good working relationships internally.
- Exposure to DFM, GD&T and working knowledge of applicable manufacturing processes
- Exposure to Project Management skills
