Job Description:

Tasks

The Tool and Equipment Engineer will be responsible for designing, planning, implementing and maintaining test systems, test benches and test equipment, tooling and fixtures for the maintenance of aircraft or engine components and ensuring their compliance with airworthiness and legal requirements.

  • Manage projects within the scope of T&E development or optimization andbe fully responsible for cost, lead times and quality targets.
  • Define, adapt and further develop test procedures and systems and beresponsible for design, applicability and approval under EASA145 and 21Jrequirements.
  • Perform complex fault isolation in combination of test unit and test systemand improve system performance by using Matlab/Simulink systemmodelling.
  • Define, operate and utilize machine tools such as lathes, milling and CNCmachines to support production, testing, prototype development and systemoptimization.

Requirements

We are looking for a T&E Engineer that will design and provide tools and test equipment by evaluating processes, systems and products to ensure quality, functionality and compliance with technical specifications and airworthiness requirements.

  • Native proficiency in Portuguese and German is highly preferred
  • Strong skills to work in multinational projects and experience in projectmanagement
  • Strong proficiency in mechanical or electric/electronic systems development
  • Experience in the aviation industry, with a good understanding of aviation systems, standards and airworthiness requirements
  • Very good computer and programming skills (eg. MS-Office, SAP, CAD, Matlab/Simulink, Labview)
  • Previous experience in Test & Evaluation engineering or a similar technical field ispreferred
  • Knowledge of test planning, data analysis and system performance evaluation
  • Experience in the design of tooling and fixtures
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize systemperformance
  • Very good written and spoken English skills
