We are currently seeking a Software Engineering Intern for our Business Aviation and Digital Solutions team located in Annapolis, MD. This organization provides best-in-class flight-support and international-handling services for business jets. We have a 24x7 call center, staffed with qualified pilots and dispatchers, but make 100 of our functionality available over the web. Our sophisticated automation is the main reason our business is successful. 

What You Will Do:

• Support the design, development, and maintenance of Front-end software for business aviation solutions and avionics products 
• Responsible for improving the toolset used during the software development life cycle.
• The position will entail the development using Angular. 
• Interact with onsite customers for requirements and implementation. 
• Support project team activities related to the specification of requirements, software implementation, test case development, and test execution.

Qualifications You Must Have: 

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle concepts. 
• Familiarity with Software Design tools. 
• Ability to understand PWA/Angular. 
• Knowledge of JavaScript.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. (*Position is remote; however, if you live within a reasonable commute of a Collins site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.)

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
