About Position / Position Summary

Boeing India is currently looking to hire multiple SAP Functional Consultant positions in the areas SD, EAM, EPPM PS, Finance, Procurement, Contract Management, Project Systems, WBS   to join their team in Bengaluru, India. These positions will focus on supporting the SAP implementation projects for Boeing business units like BCA, BDS and BGS.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Independently take up and participate in Requirement gathering, Document preparation, End-to-End Solution design, Functional Spec preparation, Realization and Deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams comprising of business SMEs, Architects, Developers and SIs on current processes and proposing solutions to enhance current systems.
  • Independently carry out/lead workshops for requirement gathering and design build.
  • Identify, recommend and implement complex configuration solutions and implement full cycle configuration to meet business needs; create and update associated documentation.
  • Participate in the project delivery during testing cycles and lead the root cause analysis and correction of issues.
  • Develops and maintains strategic partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers. Assess and Propose O2C capabilities and trade off with business and SI’s to promote adoption of standard best practices.,
  • Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving
  • Acts as the initial point of escalation for issues or challenges encountered by the team.  Capable of effectively triaging and de-escalating issues with impacted parties
  • Demonstrates the Boeing Behaviors in a deliberate and observable way
  • Flexibility to work with overlapping time zones with the US teams

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Technical Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology
  • 12+ years of experience developing SAP business systems and processes in large and complex business environment and should have 7+ of years of experience in EAM, SD, EPPM PS, Finance, Procurement, Contract Management, Project Systems, WBS   Ability to assist with assessments of the impact of architectural decisions across applications.
  • Create, maintain and implement standards and reference architectures
  • Understanding of full systems development lifecycle from requirements gathering through implementation of various functional architecture solutions.
  • Candidate should have done 2 SAP E2E implementation project. Minimum 1 E2E implementation in S/4 HANA.
  • Strong knowledge in SAP Integration  
  • Should have worked on End-to-End process across various business scenarios.
  • The candidate must have worked and depth knowledge on Interfaces connecting SAP and non-SAP systems. Worked on IDOCs, BAPIs, RFCs and Customs programs.
  • Translating Functional Specifications into Application design documents, co-ordination with ABAP team, testing of new functionality or Enhancements, Prepare Test plans and Test scripts, Perform Unit tests and integration tests.
  • Familiar with Supply Chain business models and Fiori UI
  • Should be able to lead application assessments and integrations with S/4 HANA in O2C space.
  • Exceptional Communication and Interpersonal skills
  • Minimum 1 E2E implementation experience in SAP S/4 HANA.
  • Experience working with SAP EDI, RFC and interface with non-SAP systems.
  • Experience with Business Process and/or Services Modeling in global business environment.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization including senior executives

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 12+ years of total IT experience 
  • 8+ years of experience in configuring, implementing and maintaining SAP solutions in SD, EPPM PS, Finance, Procurement, Contract Management, Project Systems, WBS   Conceptual and implementation knowledge of Contract Management for complex environments. Knowledge of Milestone billing and configuration knowledge of quantity and value contracts.
  • Understanding of business functionalities in Aerospace and Defense industry would be an added advantage
  • The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) certification is desired
  • In depth knowledge of user exits, batch jobs, SAP standard reports.
  • Ability of handle and lead the development of WRICEF objects independently in collaboration with ABAP.
  • Exposure to usage of SAP Solution Manager
  • Knowledge and Experience of SAP Activate methodology and Agile (SAFe) development methods.
  • In depth knowledge of SAP SD user exits, batch jobs, SAP standard reports.
  • Ability of handle and lead the development of WRICEF objects independently in collaboration with ABAP.
  • Exposure to usage of SAP Solution Manager
  • Certifications in either SAP SD or S/4 HANA will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge and Experience of SAP Activate methodology and Agile (SAFe) development methods.

Typical Education & Experience:

  • Typically, 12-16 Years or more related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) Preferred, but not required.
