CMC Raw Material Industrialization Senior Chemical Systems Engineer is responsible for advancing next generation equipment and processes. Lead design, development, and industrialization of process innovation programs to support NPI, safety, yield, delivery, and product cost solutions. Seeking a highly motivated, hands-on, chemical delivery system technical expert to support development and advancement of manufacturing readiness level of CMC raw material processes and equipment. Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide chemical process expertise in NPI and disruptive technology solutions
- Evaluate and manage safety, quality, and producibility risks for new raw material processes or process industrialization improvements
- Develop and review Process Flow Diagrams, Material Balances, P&IDs, Equipment Specification, Cause & Effect Diagrams, and Functional Descriptions
- Support next generation equipment commissioning and startup activities
- Facilitate equipment design reviews and participate in PHAs & LOPAs
- Review vendor documents, drawings, datasheets, specifications, and design basis calculations
- Define PSI (Process Safety Information) for applicable process changes
- Support identification and execution of chemical delivery process and reliability improvements
- Lead Problem Solving
- Mentor early to mid career engineers
- Up to 50 travel to Evendale, OH (if remote) and up to 20 travel if based in Evendale
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 5 years of Chemical Process engineering experience)
- Minimum of 5 years of Chemical Process Engineering experience
Desired Characteristics:
- Strong chemical and process engineering aptitude including experience in the design and process control of hazardous chemical systems
- Ability to document, plan, and execute development programs
- Experience commissioning new equipment
- Modeling/simulation experience – ASPEN Plus, HYSYS
- Experience in NPI environment
- Process Controls experience
- Familiarity with SIS lifecycle or FSA
- Proficient in P&ID development and process design
- Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM)
- Ability to document, plan, and execute development programs
- Program or project management experience
- Ability to effectively influence others. Demonstrated leadership and support of multi-disciplinary teams and project groups

The base pay range for this position is 121,500 - 202,600. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on April 10th, 2025.
