You will be the Research and Development Engineer for our Sustainment Team. Our team is responsible for researching and developing innovative solutions to support the sustainment of unit unique equipment, leveraging expertise across multiple engineering disciplines.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Research and Development Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting research, designing, and developing products that integrate multiple engineering disciplines, including electronics, electrical, mechanical, and chemical. Your work will play a critical role in ensuring the continued functionality and effectiveness of our equipment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting research and analysis to identify innovative solutions for equipment sustainment • Designing and developing products that integrate multiple engineering disciplines • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new solutions • Developing and testing prototypes to validate design concepts • Refining and iterating designs based on test results and feedback

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access and is in direct support of a U.S. government contract that requires a company-sponsored clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
Desired Skills:
Familiar with additive manufacturing.

Familiar with reverse engineering small devices and equipment.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Top Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
