What you will do:
Receiving inspection is responsible for the quality validation of supplied material received onsite at a Raytheon facility.
As a member of the receiving inspection quality engineering team, an applicant would be responsible for supporting the receiving inspection process. You would be working in support of unionized hourly inspectors who perform the inspection. Support will include performing root cause and corrective action to resolve nonconforming material and process issues. Day to day activities could include querying data from SAP and PDM systems and performing basic data analysis on retrieved data sets.
Additional engagement could require working hands on with our inspectors in the warehouse as well as working projects related to metrics, standard work, and process improvement. Collaboration skills are critical and will be utilized as you participate on a distributed team and must rely on relationships with stakeholders across numerous other functional groups. You will work closely with other teams from supply chain, quality, logistics, production control, and engineering. Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- Utilize problem solving skills and root cause and corrective action analysis to disposition and control nonconforming material
- Engage with hourly inspectors in support of quality inspection of supplied material
- Apply familiarity of quality requirements, inspection processes, and Raytheon procedures to assure consistency and continuity of receiving inspection activities
- Perform data collection across numerous digital systems and use collected data to perform data analysisInteract daily with other cross- business teams in Raytheon to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives. These groups include, manufacturing, configuration, design engineering, supply chain, production control, finance, and the program management office
- Ensure full compliance to company policies and procedures
- Support projects and activities related to standard work, process improvement, and metrics
- Assist in development and execution of training documentation
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
- Achieve results in a highly dynamic and collaborative environment
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires bachelor’s of science degree in a STEM related field and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and 3 years of relevant experience.
- In lieu of a degree candidates can be considered with 9 plus years of relevant experience.
- Experience with Quality and Inspection processes
- Previous experience using root cause and corrective action processes to resolve non-conforming material
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
