THE WORK

The Project Engineering Project Lead will be responsible for leading Alteration Installation Team (AIT) Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) and other special projects from the planning phase through execution, to completion. This will include:
• Coordinate daily with the Mount Laurel project engineering team on schedules, manning, technical reviews, financial reviews, material and other needs.
• Technical and programmatic tasking from government customers: MDA, PEO IWS, NSWC-PHD, etc.
• Regular interaction and coordination with customers and other LM programs and functions: LM Program Management, Finance, Contracts, Ship integration and Test, etc.
• Occasional travel to other Lockheed Martin and industrial ship/site construction locations including San Diego CA, Norfolk VA, Mayport FL, Pascagoula MS, Washington DC, and between LM campuses in the Moorestown NJ area.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
• Experience - minimum of 2+ years assisting with or leading project planning efforts.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to coordinate and run meetings.
• Ability to travel up to 25

Desired Skills:
• Familiarity with the US Navy NAVSEA Technical Specification 9090-310 - Ship Alteration Accomplishment by Installation Teams
• Familiarity with Aegis Combat System and BMD systems
• Experience working with US Navy or other military
• Experience with technical document editing utilizing PDF editor software
• Experience and or knowledge of leading projects with EVM and cost account knowledge
• PMP certification or study

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
