Overview
A Part 145 Production Planning Engineer manages the scheduling and timeliness of the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) processes to ensure compliance with aviation regulations and that the company meets all deadlines. Their duties include coordinating material and equipment availability, scheduling maintenance tasks, and monitoring the MRO process for any issues. Additionally, they ensure that all work is performed in accordance with the approved maintenance program and regulatory requirements, liaise with various departments to optimize resource utilization, and maintain detailed records of maintenance activities.
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Planning, scheduling, and coordinating MRO activities to ensure efficient operations and regulatory compliance.
2. Evaluating materials and equipment to ensure everything is in place for maintenance and repair tasks.
3. Scheduling shifts and allocating personnel to provide proper coverage and meet operational demands.
4. Monitoring costs to ensure the MRO process stays within budget constraints.
5. Reporting on the status of maintenance activities and any issues to upper management.
6. Handling disruptions and productivity problems within the MRO process.
7. Identifying opportunities to improve productivity and reduce costs without compromising safety or quality.
Requirements and Qualifications
1. CAAM Part 66 License Holder / Degree in Aircraft Maintenance/Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering, OR
2. More than 5 years experience with in-depth knowledge of aviation MRO processes and quality control standards in accordance with Part 145 regulations.
3. Strong mathematical and analytical skills to evaluate data and optimize production schedules.
4. Proficiency in using AMOS & Airbus Maintenance Manual.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with various departments and regulatory bodies.
6. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with all levels of employees, fostering a collaborative work environment.
7. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
8. A deadline-driven mindset with a focus on achieving operational goals.
9. Proven coaching skills with the ability to motivate and guide employees to improve performance and productivity.
10. More than 3 years experience working on A320 or A330 aircraft.
