Roles and Responsibilities
A Lead Engineer in the Performance team will work cross functionally within the Engines Systems organization to ensure all program engine performance deliverables are met.
This role requires very close customer communication engagement and direct integration with external customers.
The Lead Engineer will be involved in DPT(s) creation and updates, work planning coordination and commitments tracking.
This role requires a proactive approach in running investigations, providing recommendations to Systems, participation as a presenter and reviewer in technical and systems reviews, coordination ongoing issues as well as development action plans to anticipate and respond to problems.
In addition, this person would be responsible for RFP related requests for potential new customers.
Required is proactive identification of engine performance issues and work cross functionally to drive solutions.
The Lead Engineer will need to provide technical guidance, mentoring, and training to less experienced employees and drive proper documentation of all technical work consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering from accredited university or college.
Experience in Engine Performance.
Experience in analyzing data trends, proven knowledge of statistical tools & analytical thinking (confirmed via certificates).
Experience in running root cause analysis, proven knowledge of TOPS8D process and SCRUM methods.
Engine tests support: preparation, prediction, coverage and test data reduction.
Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Team worker, hard worker, fast-learner, open- minded person, optimistic attitude.
Desired Characteristics
Any relevant Engine Performance experience OR Master’s Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering relevant to Engine Performance.
Industry experience in Engine Performance work-scope.
Knowledge of Engine Cycle.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Customer satisfaction mindset, ability to work well in a diverse team with a positive “can do” attitude.
