Lead Engineer – Structural Analysis (Full Time)

Position Title: Lead Engineer – Structural Analysis
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 Hours/ Week
Summary of Duties: Lead and supervise the operations of the Structural Analysis Department, including
Mass Properties. Ensure the Structural Analysis Department supports the business needs of Production Support, New Product Development, Customer Service, and Certification. Provide engineering support as directed by the Sr. Manager of Structure to support request from Manufacturing, New Product Development, FAA Certification, and Customer Service. Schedule and track all structural analysis activities to support projects and certification requirements. Assist in determining work force requirements to support business needs. Provide training plan for the department.
Qualifications: The position requires a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered, or as a Stress Engineer, Stress Analyst, Weight Engineer, Weight Analyst, Mass Properties Engineer, or a related occupation. Alternately, will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered, or as a Stress Engineer, Stress Analyst, Weight Engineer, Weight Analyst, Mass Properties Engineer, or a related occupation. The position requires knowledge and experience with the following: Experience in a lead position; Aircraft design, analysis, and testing; Aircraft components; FAA regulations, including Part 23 and how structural analysis and testing is used to show compliance; Ability to apply project management techniques to plan for tasking and project tracking.
