Become a part of something meaningful! Ground Missile Defense (GMD) is the heart of the Missile Defense System and a key element of our nation’s defense against ballistic missile attacks.

The GMD Weapon System processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat.

The Work
As the Sr. Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA) Engineer for the GMD Weapons System (GWS), some of your responsibilities include:
• Maintenance Task Analysis for new system and component designs.
• Interpreting and analyzing technical drawings to provide recommendations on system maintainability.
• Updating task processes in PowerLOG-J database to include provisioning review.
• Coordinating with Technical Manual (TM) team on transition from commercial manuals to TM development.
• Interfacing with SMEs to gather critical data.
• Integrating with a team of mixed skills to complete complex tasks on time.
• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and system description documents

Basic Qualifications:
• Must have a active/current DoD Secret
• 10 years of relevant professional experience
• Recent GWS Program experience
• Experience performing Maintenance Task Analysis for new system and component designs
• Experience interpreting and analyzing technical drawings to provide recommendations on system maintainability
• Experience updating task processes in PowerLOG-J database to include provisioning review
• Experience coordinating with Technical Manual (TM) team on transition from commercial manuals to TM development
• Experience interfacing with SMEs to gather critical data
• Experience integrating with a team of mixed skills to complete complex tasks on time
• Ability to perform fairly complex tasks with minimal supervision
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and system description documents
• Effective time management skills and ability to multi-task
Desired Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience; OR a Master’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
• Ability to facilitate/support review boards
• Experience with XML, Arbor text and/or SGML
• Ability to stand up a Release Library and experience verifying that changes identified during board reviews are incorporated into documents and the Release Library
• Generating BOEs
• Possess an understanding of and ability to apply military technical order principles, concepts, practices, and standards
• Knowledge of military aircraft technical order editing/writing processes
• Two years of depot forward maintenance experience
• Graduate of a commercial or military maintenance school or program
• Associate Certified Electronic Technician (CETs) certification

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
