Position Summary
Comlux Aviation is currently seeking a Full-Time Flight Support Engineer (FSE) holding FAA/EASA B1 AML with Global 7500/8000 type rating to support VIP operations based in Buenos Aires (SAEZ).
The FSE will act as the primary technical representative supporting aircraft operations, ensuring airworthiness, defect rectification, and seamless coordination between flight crew, CAMO, MCC, and maintenance providers. This role requires high autonomy, technical leadership capability, and the ability to operate within a discreet VIP environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site and remote technical support for Global 8000 operations.
- Certify maintenance activities within license privileges (B1; B2 advantageous).
- Ensure continued airworthiness in coordination with CAMO and MCC.
- Manage and supervise defect rectification, AOG situations, and troubleshooting.
- Liaise with third-party maintenance providers and vendors.
- Lead and coordinate contracted engineers when required.
- Perform aircraft inspections, transit checks, and oversee scheduled/unscheduled maintenance.
- Support aircraft release to service in compliance with EASA and applicable authority regulations.
- Maintain high standards of documentation accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Provide operational support during missions and be available for short-notice travel.
- Deliver a professional and discreet service in line with VIP customer expectations.
Minimum Requirements
- FAA or EASA B1 AML License (mandatory).
- Global 7500/8000 Type Rating (mandatory) — current and valid.
- Minimum 5 years Line or Base Maintenance experience (Global family preferred).
- Recent type currency.
- Recurrent training up to date.
- Proven experience working independently and managing defect rectification.
- Previous leadership or Lead Engineer experience is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s Degree would be considered an asset.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Spanish is an advantage.
- Ability and willingness to travel at short notice.
- Flexibility in roster and operational availability.
- Experience in VIP/private owner operations is considered a strong advantage.
