Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking for a Principal Sustainment Engineer to join our team and support the F-35 program! The position will be based in Fort Worth, TX.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the technical development, coordination, execution, and management of the NGAS-supplied portions of the F-35 Sustainment/Fleet Modifications Program.
  • Collaborate with engineering, supply, operations, program office and customer stakeholders to manage comprehensive retrofit projects
  • Develop Basis of Estimate proposal artifacts
  • Support and review modification engineering, Time Compliance Technical Directive (TCTD) manuscripts and provide both virtual and hands-on support for associated verification events
  • Participate in unique modification tooling development activities and coordinate for related inspections, fielding and engineering support
  • Candidate may be required to work occasional extended hours and weekends to meet program objectives
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and experienced leveraging Microsoft Office suite applications.
  • Position involves significant influence and requires a resourceful, independent self-starter able to analyze and solve complex technical and logistical challenges involving solicitations of and commitments from various stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college in a relevant STEM discipline with 5 years of experience; OR a Masters Degree in a STEM field with 3 years of experience; OR a STEM PhD with 0 years of experience.
  • Previous or current F-35 experience is required.
  • Must have a current active DoD Secret clearance prior to starting.
Salary Range: $93,000 - $139,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
