Site Overview
Established in 2000, the John F. Welch Technology Center (JFWTC) in Bengaluru is our multidisciplinary research and engineering center. Engineers and scientists at JFWTC have contributed to hundreds of aviation patents, pioneering breakthroughs in engine technologies, advanced materials, and additive manufacturing.
Role Overview:
Support various development activities using NX Open; TC e.g., Coding, Testing etc.
Develop/enhance NX/TC custom applications meeting customer/end user’s expectations
Support measure product health metrics and use to drive improvements to product
Develop process improvement scripts using Java, Python etc. as needed
Participate in scrum ceremonies to ensure that deliverables are on track ensuring good quality
Design, development, and implementation of Teamcenter PLM solutions to support Model-Based Digital Thread and MBSE initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements related to digital thread, MBSE, cloud technologies, and test automation.
Support the customization and configuration of Teamcenter to align with business processes and MBSE methodologies.
Help develop and maintain integrations between Teamcenter and other enterprise applications, including CAD/CAE tools and cloud platforms.
Assist in the implementation and management of Active Workspace configurations and customizations.
Participate in the development and execution of test automation strategies to ensure the quality and performance of PLM solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Teamcenter, MBSE, cloud technologies, and test automation.
Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in PLM, digital thread, MBSE, cloud technologies, and test automation.
Document technical specifications, user guides, and best practices.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
The Ideal Candidate
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Production / Computer Science Engineering, or a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience
Basic understanding of Siemens Teamcenter, including customization, configuration, and integration.
Foundational knowledge of Model-Based Digital Thread and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts and methodologies desired
Exposure to cloud technologies and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
Exposure to test automation tools and frameworks is a plus.
Familiarity with Active Workspace configuration and customization is a plus.
Good programming skills in languages such as Java, C++, or .NET.
Basic understanding of database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
Familiarity with web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Internship or project experience in Teamcenter PLM development and implementation.
Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Knowledge of CAD/CAE tools and their integration with Teamcenter.
Experience in the aerospace or manufacturing industry is a plus.
