We are looking for an Engineering Data Management Specialist to become part of the Airbus Defence and Space Romania team.
Mission: Special subtype of system engineering with the focus on a transversal Engineering speciality: Engineering Data Management. Collaborates closely with the Chief Engineer / Engineering Project Manager of different systems/system elements for Airbus Defence and Space applying the most efficient and innovative technologies to create reports based on custom data.
Areas of impact: Scheduling, Business intelligence, Report creation, PMO activities 

Responsibilities:

  • Create and update detailed project schedule in specific tool (MS Project / Primavera / Unified Planning, Atlassian Big Picture etc.) – activities / milestones / attributes / logical relationships
  • Align dependencies between WPs, milestones and deliverables with project stakeholders
  • Analyse the schedule (activity sequence, durations, constraints)
  • Update tasks, milestones and resource assignments according to the progress
  • Resource levelling (manual / automatic)
  • Timelines / Layouts / Filters / Critical path / Schedule optimization / Leads and Lags / Schedule Variance Analysis / Schedule trends / Metrics / Reports
  • Schedule monitoring / baseline creation
  • Monitoring of detailed activities in JIRA by frequent update / status meetings with all task owners
  • Creation and maintenance of Project Management artefacts (e.g. schedules, resource plans, EVM KPIs, project management reports) or System Engineering specific artefacts (e.g. Requirements KPIs, Traceability Matrices etc.) in collaboration with responsible WPMs / CE / PM
  • Defines / manages the specific deliverables for the specialty area, in accordance to the project life cycle or engineering organization’s needs
  • Participates into definition of supporting life cycle processes that balance cost, schedule, and performance objectives
  • Develop policies and techniques for gathering and analysing data
  • Organise and present training, workshops and demos on topics related to the used tools
  • Based on business needs, occasional travel within and outside the country may be required.

Requirements:

  • Experience in PMO / System Engineering technical domain with IT technical background (e.g. Software, Computer Science)
  • Scheduling experience with Microsoft Project / Primavera / other specific scheduling tool
  • Basic experience / knowledge with Project Management Tools (Reporting tools, MS Office, Action items tracking, Risk management, Requirements Management, Google Suite), Project Management Processes and Agile Project Management Tools (Confluence, Jira, Big Picture), basic financial processes
  • Experience with data analysis, integration and reporting from various systems
  • Ability to easily communicate and interact with stakeholders (Chief Engineers, Project Managers, Work Package Managers etc.) – the role is transversal and assumes communication with various managers and teams, most communication needs to be handled remotely
  • Fluent in English, ideally basic German and French

Specific knowledge

  • Knowledge on Software development processes and / or hardware, engineering, Agile way of working, Jira / Confluence
  • Basic knowledge on the Specialty area: Project Management or Agile methodologies (SCRUM, KANBAN)
  • Administration and configuration of Atlassian tools (eazyBI, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) or Project Management Tools
  • Ability to understand and use basic scripts related to the tools mentioned above (Jira - JQL, eazyBI MDX and Confluence Macros) or Power BI (with guidance)
