Engineer Systems Test 3 – Drive Innovation in Space Payload Testing!

About the Role:As an Engineer Systems Test 3, you will play a key role in the Assembly, Integration, and Test (AI&T) of a production Space Payload program. You’ll execute test scripts for software, hardware, and system verification, ensuring our advanced space technologies meet mission requirements. This position requires a strong understanding of RF systems, programming and scripting skills, and hands-on experience with RF test equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Execute test scripts to verify software, hardware, and system requirements for space applications.
- Utilize expertise in RF systems, including RADAR, SIGINT, and COMMS.
- Operate RF test equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and power meters.
- Support 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift test bench operations for space payload integration and testing.
- Troubleshoot, document, and resolve system-level issues.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to refine testing processes and improve system performance.
Required Qualifications:- BS in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) OR 4+ years of relevant military experience in sensor systems (e.g., RADAR integration, test, operation, or maintenance).
- Willingness to work dedicated 2nd shift for several months (1 PM – 10 PM).
- No clearance required.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with RADAR and/or Electronically Scanned Array (ESA) integration & testing.
- Hands-on experience in space payload or satellite integration & testing in a clean room environment.
- Proficiency in C or MATLAB for modifying and improving existing code.
- Scripting expertise in Python or Tcl for test automation and process improvements.
- Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, and Bitbucket.
- TS or SCI clearance (for future opportunities at PDS Tech Commercial)

Pay Details: $82.06 to $107.77 per hour
