BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, or other engineering discipline
- 1+ years of technical experience working with E3/EMI/EMC/TEMPEST design
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Certified TEMPEST Professional Level II
- Experience with design/analysis/testing/troubleshooting for TEMPEST and EMI/EMC compliance
- Experience with design for and testing to EMI/EMC standards including MIL-STD-461
- Experience with design for and testing to TEMPEST standards including NSTISSAM TEMPEST/1-92 and CNSSAM TEMPEST 01-02
- Experience using and automating TEMPEST and EMI/EMC test equipment including TEMPEST receivers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, probes, etc.
- Experience with EMI/EMC requirements, design, and testing for spacecraft including:
- Shielding, design for low radiated/conducted emissions, filtering, grounding, bonding, ESD, transient suppression, electromagnetic field coupling, magnetic moment, Maxwell's equations, lumped element modeling, computational electromagnetics modeling/simulation, fundamentals of EE/RF, etc.
- Advanced degree in electrical engineering, physics or other technical areas of study
- Experience with reading, interpreting and following: circuit schematics, PCB layouts, engineering drawings, BOMs, cable harnesses, wiring schematics, interface diagrams, layout drawings, mechanical drawings and CAD software
- Experience working in a fast-paced work environment with flight hardware
- Experience with TILE and python for test automation
- Experience with Python, MATLAB, Ansys Electronics Desktop (HFSS, Maxwell, etc), SPICE, and Excel for EMI/EMC/TEMPEST analysis
- Active Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance, or ability to obtain one desired but not required
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- An active clearance may provide the opportunity for you to work on sensitive SpaceX missions; if so, you will be subject to pre-employment drug and random drug and alcohol testing
- Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay range:
Level I: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00/per year
Level II: $115,000.00 - $135,000.00/per year
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. Those with an active clearance will receive a 10% differential, up to an additional $15,000 annually, once officially briefed into a classified program.
