Job Description SummaryThe Hybrid Electric Electrical Systems Manager within the GE Aerospace Advanced Technologies Organization, is seeking skilled Electrical Engineers who have experience in the Hybrid Electric Space and have demonstrated technical expertise and support both execution of the GE Aerospace hybrid electric portfolio of power systems and components, as well as building the enduring GE’s technical body of knowledge. This role is essential towards the safe and effective maturation of GE Aerospace’s hybrid electric technology portfolio and the realization of the aviation industry’s sustainability goals in the first half of the 21st century.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
As a member of the Electrical Engineering Hybrid Electric Team, you will:
- Define technical plans and roadmaps for the development and validation of hybrid electric systems and components
- Consult and mentor less experienced engineers on hardware, software and control design solutions, initiating from concept design
- Develop, review, and improve electrical system and component models for predicting system behavior
- Actively participate in and serve as a reviewer in technical forums, providing clear actionable direction and takeaways
- Inform test plans to balance technical learnings and program schedules
- Provide clear, timely communication of technical risks and challenges
- Capture lessons learned and best practices to aid in continuous improvement of GE Aerospace’s hybrid electric capabilities
- Define and formalize system, test, hardware, software, and human integration requirements
- Apply and define GE best practices
- Present results to internal (GE) and external (customer, agency, government, …) customers
- Collaborate effectively in a diverse, global, distributed work environment
Additionally, you will responsible to continually mature your personal and professional development through training opportunities, mentorship, and formal career path definition.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 5 years industrial experience in electrical power and propulsion

- Expert knowledge of power generation, power electronics, and energy storage
- Demonstrated team leadership, collaboration, and facilitation skills
- Strong technical communication skills and willingness to continually improve communication and influencing skills in more-distributed work environments
- Experience with electrical power test

- Keen listener and innate drive to succeed
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
