  1. Summary of Position: (Brief description of overall responsibilities and function)

Resource required to staff the new unit in AWPC within the framework of “Diagnostic Service Tower" (DST) for the development of the “In Service Fleet Data Analysis, Diagnostic & Predictive Services” department. The purpose of the function where the resource will be allocated is to provide integrated services including H/C monitoring, usage and predictive analysis towards CSS&T counterparts, Engineering as well as directly Customers for specific services.

The resource will be responsible perform fleet and customers’ data analysis, enhanced monitoring, to develop aircraft diagnostics and predictive services. The resource will work in close cooperation and in support of other company functions within Customer Support Service & Training (CSS&T) as well as Design Engineering functions; investigate and exploit potential data correlation of different data sources to develop advanced data analytics to support business function analyses.

The resource will operate within a cross geographic mandate together with other dedicated Geo-based Team Members, to develop Geo-based services related.

The resource will also act work in cooperation with the direct supervisor during the DST initial set-up interacting as necessary with the other involved departments in Italy and AWPC.

Provide predictive services prognostic based, leveraging on advanced health and usage trend monitoring correlation and data analysis.

Examples of those prognostic services are (not limited to): Flight Condition Recognition, Flight Data Monitoring and prognostic evolution of Failure & "hard limits" forecast, Remaining Useful life probability & forecast.

Provide flight simulator data analysis and Flight (Simulator) Condition Recognition services to Simulation & Training Services department.

Provide support to PSE to answer to trend and vibration monitoring related technical queries when specific knowledge and or deeper technical investigation is required

Support PSE and Engineering for deeper incident and accident investigation activities when required to perform detailed data analysis on specific cases.

Develop and keep updated customized analysis and related monitoring to fulfill specific customer or internal demands by interpreting contract requirements and/or leadership inputs.

Present those solutions internally and to the customers based on needs including travelling to customer premises.

Liaise with Geographies to set up the cross geo approach to the delivery of the services

Provide support to the responsible functions within the IPT in order to assure the validation and verification of data is consistent with model and contribute in the definition of potential future evolution of predictive services and usage monitoring with “certification credit” purposes

  1. Qualifications for Position:

A. Education

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Industrial Engineering (Aeronautics/Mechanics/Electronics/Information technology) or equivalent industry experience and background
  • Basics of descriptive and inferential statistics theory
  • Digital basis competencies (MS suite, CRM, Power BI); basic Skills in Python or equivalent coding languages is recommended

B. Experience

  • 2 years’ minimum experience preferably operating in an engineering based business.
  • Previous experience in customer facing roles in an aeronautical industry/environment recommended.
  • Previous internal experience within LH Engineering, CSS&T, or Digital transformation is a plus.
