Job Description:
A position as Antenna System & CEM Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Madrid). The successfull applicant will join EME, Antenna Systems and Signatures SP department.
Tasks
As a Antenna System & CEM Engineer, you will develop the following challenging tasks and activities:
- Specification, selection, qualification and certification of airborne antenna systems, radomes (only radio-electrical part) and RF (radio frequency) components
- Supplier follow-up for Antenna systems, transmission lines, RF components and radomes
- Support to antenna, transmission lines and radomes design activities
- Support to Systems, Airworthiness, Design and Production organizations
- Design of on-aircraft antenna sitting and definition of antenna installation requirements
- Computation and analysis of installed antenna performances (radiation patterns and coverages)
- Interoperability studies between RF systems co-installed on aircraft
- Datalink budget prediction
- Definition of Ground and Flight Test requirements
- Validation of installed antenna performances
Required skills
As a successful candidate, you will be able to demontrate the following skills and experience:
- Degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Physics
- Strong background in electromagnetism theory and physics, RF, antenna and radome design.
- Knowledge about integration at platform level (complete cycle: specification, validation, verification, certification/qualification) of antenna systems and RF components.
- Knowledge of CNI, Surveillance, Radar and Mission systems
- User of complex and advanced tools for electromagnetic simulation and modelling for antenna design and antenna integration (CST, FEKO, etc,..). CAD management, computational tools and postprocessing.
- Knowledge in radiofrequency measurements for antennas, radomes and RF components
- Good Technical skills, familiar with R/T and R&D projects.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as being active part of a team.
- Ability to overcome difficulties in the development of the projects.
