You will report directly to our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager and youll work out of our Cambridge, ON location.
You will work under general supervision and alongside some of the worlds most talented engineers. You will support the production of Honeywells aerospace products, with responsibility for manufacturing processes, yield, and continuous improvement. You will also influence and support the development of Honeywells next generation of aerospace products from concept through the start of production, with an emphasis on producibility and cost, yield, and schedule execution. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who support new and current product engineering and the optimization of the manufacturing processes, and may mentor junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Determine and development manufacturing processes
- Procure and set up production equipment
- Write work instructions
- Set up and manage processes in ERP system
- Monitor and improve manufacturing yield
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure new products are producible
- Incorporate new manufacturing processes into the design, such as automation and alternate manufacturing techniques
- Support production teams
- Design/develop manufacturing tools, jigs and fixtures
- Conduct Root Cause Corrective Analysis
- Prepare or update other reports and documentation
- Use analytical tools and theories
- Plan, lead and execute projects
- Issue identification and analysis
- Identify areas for improvement
- Develop new techniques, processes, and analytical tools
The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP and extended Secret Clearance.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering
- 5 + years of manufacturing engineering experience
- Eligible for Secret Clearance
WE VALUE
- Significant relevant (electronics assembly) manufacturing engineering experience
- Aerospace industry experience
- Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP software
- Autocad, Creo, or Solidworks knowledge
- Six Sigma Greenbelt/DFSS certified
- Significant knowledge of aerospace standards and specifications
- Expert Computer literacy
- Ability to focus on important information and identify key details
- Application of advanced engineering techniques to optimize manufacturing processes
- Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
- Willingness to consistently take the initiative to get things done.
