Job Title: Aircraft Avionics TechnicianJob Description
Avionics Technicians will be working on the A119 (TH-73) commercial helicopters. The role involves assembling, modifying, and installing wire bundles, conductors, and other electrical components. You will need to document work performed, control equipment status tags, log critical information during installation, verify parts requests, and more. The ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and written instructions is essential. You will also use a variety of manual hand tools and specialized aircraft test equipment, and effectively communicate with other employees and members of supervision.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, modify, and install wire bundles, conductors, and other electrical components.
- Clearly document work performed, control equipment status tags, and log critical information during installation.
- Verify parts requests and read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and written instructions.
- Use a variety of manual hand tools such as crimpers, strippers, wire cutters, heat shrink gun, complex, specialized aircraft test equipment, etc.
- Effectively communicate, orally and written, with other employees, members of supervision, and others as required in their duties.
- Perform assigned duties on all shifts without encumbrances due to weather or physical location and conditions, while wearing required safety equipment.
Essential Skills- 4+ years of Electrical/Avionic aviation production experience preferred.
- Knowledge of rotary or fixed wing aircrafts.
- General overall knowledge of aviation electrical/avionic components and systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Military experience will be considered.
