      What You Will Do

      You will be responsible for ensuring the calibration of all tools, gages, fixtures, etc. are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with all procedures and regulations. You are organized with a strong math/technical background.

      • Support, troubleshoot and repair equipment, systems and structures inside and outside of the plant within the following trades: industrial electrical/electronics, plumbing/pipefitting, rigging/machine moves, carpentry, machine repair, HVAC, vacuum pump systems, waste treatment, sheet metal fabrication and cooling tower systems.
      • Review detailed assembly drawings and assist in troubleshooting to determine cause of deficiencies.
      • Order parts to complete repairs as necessary.
      • Use software programs provided to enter all information into applicable databases to accurately record repairs and parts needed/used and time spent to repair equipment.
      • Align with all departmental procedures for tasks such as overtime scheduling and tracking, EHS training, TPM calendar, POG and other technical training requirements.
      • Document all changes to detailed mechanical prints and schematics.
      • Provide assistance and backup support to other tradesmen in working to resolve issues.
      • Interpret mechanical drawings.
      • Learn and apply new technologies as required.
      • Manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
      • Flexible around shifts for coverage and training.
      • Must be able to obtain an Industrial Vehicle license to perform related job duties.
      • Will work from heights of 20 feet or less.
      • You will perform all tasks at the highest level of safety awareness.
      • This is a Weekend Shift ( Friday -Sunday) 6:00am-6:30pm
      Qualifications You Must Have
      • High school graduate or GED.
      • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

      • 1+ years of related experience or a completed technical certificate / post-secondary degree in a related field.
      Qualifications We Prefer
      • Completed technical school certificate or degree.
      • Experience in the facilities trades.
      • Computer experience and competent in Microsoft Office and SAP.
      • Knowledge of ACE tools
      • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
      • The ability to work overtime if /when needed.

      What is my role type?

      In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work. We’ve introduced role types to help you understand how you will operate in our blended work environment. This role is:

      Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

      Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

      Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship 

    reempowerprogram  

    This role is also eligible for the Re-Empower Program.  The Re-Empower Program helps support talented and committed professionals as they rebuild their capabilities, enhance leadership skills, and continue their professional journey.  Over the course of the 14-week program, experienced professionals will gain paid, on-the-job experience, have an opportunity to participate in sessions with leadership, develop personalized plans for success and receive coaching to guide their return-to-work experience.  Upon completion of the program, based on performance and contributions participants will be eligible for a career at RTX.   

     

    Minimum Program Qualifications:
