Job Title: Electronics Repair TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Electronics Repair Technician to diagnose, fix, and test electronic circuit boards. In this role, you will utilize tools like multimeters and oscilloscopes to identify issues, replace faulty components, and ensure the optimal functionality of circuit boards. A strong technical skill set, meticulous attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols are essential for success.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and isolate faults on printed circuit boards (PCBs) using tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
- Perform component-level repairs, including the replacement of defective parts such as integrated circuits (ICs), resistors, capacitors, and transistors.
- Utilize advanced soldering techniques, including surface-mount technology (SMT) and through-hole soldering, to replace components without damaging the board.
- Perform rework and modification of circuit cards as needed.
- Conduct functional tests on repaired circuit cards to ensure they meet specified performance parameters using test fixtures and automated test equipment (ATE).
- Maintain accurate records of all repair activities, including the nature of the fault, components replaced, and final test results.
- Document any recurring issues to aid in process improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve technical issues.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper handling of electrostatic-sensitive devices (ESD).
Essential Skills- Associates degree in electronics, a technical school certificate, or equivalent military training in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and repairing electronic circuits and PCBs.
- Familiarity with schematic diagrams and technical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
- Proficiency with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and function generators.
- Exceptional soldering and de-soldering skills for both SMT and through-hole components.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with electronic assembly, wiring, and schematic reading.
- Skill in using hand tools, industrial equipment, and microscopes for electronics testing.
- Experience in installation, debugging, and calibration.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $64000.00/yr.
