Summary
Provides support of Intermediate level (I-Level and Depot Level) repair support for the ALQ-99 Tactical Jamming System (TJS) in accordance with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP), applicable technical data, and federal contract requirements.
Junior-level Electronics Technician supporting repair, maintenance, modification, and overhaul of ALQ-99 at Fleet Readiness Center Northwest (FRCNW).
Essential Functions
- Perform aircraft maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repair, and modification
- Document maintenance actions in aircraft logs and approved maintenance systems
- Lead and provide technical guidance to lower-level technicians
- Ensure compliance with Tool Control, FOD, safety, and quality programs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Duties
- Intermediate Level (I-Level) and Depot Level (D-Level) ALQ-99 TJS Repair
- ALQ-99 TJS WRA and SRA inspections
- General ALQ-99 TJS WRA and SRA maintenance
- Technical Directive compliance and modifications
- Interpret technical manuals, drawings, and directives
- Troubleshoot and repair aircraft avionics systems
- Document maintenance actions per NAMP requirements
Qualifications
- 3+ years avionics/electronics maintenance experience required
- 1+ years ALQ-99 or similar aviation maintenance experience preferred
- Aviation Survivability Equipment (ASE) experience preferred
- Must be able to work, day, swing or mid shift as required
- 2M (Micro/Miniature) experience preferred
- CDI preferred
- Secret clearance required
Physical Requirements
Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation, including lifting up to 50 lbs., standing and walking for extended periods, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in confined or elevated spaces. Requires sufficient manual dexterity and vision to use tools and inspect aircraft systems. Must be able to work in high-noise environments, wear required PPE, and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
