Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Avionics Technician to join our team on a contract basis. You will be working on aircraft installations on the Dash 8 Q400, including airframe, cockpit, and underfloor wiring. The role involves both line maintenance and bench work, ensuring aircraft are in optimal condition and ready for operation.

Responsibilities

• Install avionics systems and components on the Dash 8 Q400.
• Conduct bench work, including the assembly of wire harnesses and wiring diagrams.
• Perform line maintenance and repairs on aircraft.
• Execute electrical and avionics installations and conversions.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure the aircraft functions correctly.

• Minimum of 3 years of Canadian avionics installation experience.
• Licensed or unlicensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) with at least 3 years of experience.
• Ability to work independently and get up to speed quickly without extensive training.
• Experience in line maintenance, electrical installations, and avionics repair.

Compensation

• $45.00-$58.00 per hour (Based on experience/qualifications/AME E license/endorsements/ACA)
• Monthly living allowance*
• Per Diem*
• Roundtrip flight from anywhere across Canada or Mileage coverage

*only eligible for out of Province candidates outside of Lower Mainland, British Columbia

Work Environment

You will be part of a small team of 5-6 people, working closely with the team lead to ensure aircraft functionality. The role requires basic tooling, with specialized tools provided. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 10-hour days from 6 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional overtime on Saturdays.

This is a Contract position based out of Abbotsford, British Columbia

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
