Avionics Electrician

Working in an MRO environment, the Avionics Electrician will disassemble, repair, fabricate parts as necessary, reassemble, install, and document maintenance actions on heavy-lift helicopters, primarily Boeing CH-47 airframes (Model 107, Model 234 firefighting and heavy lift utility). Read and interpret maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics or other technical data to determine the feasibility and method to perform the assigned task. Cleans and inspects components and aircraft wiring installations for damage and wear using visual examination and special tooling and equipment. Replaces or repairs damaged or worn component parts and wiring using general hand tools, special tools, pneumatic tools and precision measuring equipment. Assembles components and wire harnesses with same tools and equipment.

Hard Skills

This is a fully on-site position in Aurora, Oregon.

Work Environment

Heavy lift helicopter fleet MRO and rebuild hangars. 5-day schedule for several weeks to start (8am - 4:30pm), then will move to a 4-day schedule (6am - 4:30pm), either Mon-Thurs or Tues-Fri.
