Avionics AME-E Technician – Permanent – Fort Erie, ON
Location: Fort Erie, ON
Salary : As per experience
The Avionics AME-E Technician leads the installation, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of aircraft avionics systems in compliance with Transport Canada standards.
Key Responsibilities
Install, build, and test avionics wire harnesses and equipment
Lead assigned avionics projects and coordinate with mechanical and sheet metal teams
Create wire lists, manufacture harnesses, and install systems per drawings and manuals
Program, configure, and update avionics and aircraft systems software
Perform ground, flight, pitot-static, and transponder testing; complete log entries
Troubleshoot, inspect, and repair avionics systems; support quality inspections
Maintain accurate SAP time booking, work orders, and defect reporting
Ensure clean, organized, FOD-free work areas and complete daily tool checks
Training & Compliance
Maintain technical currency through self-study and formal training
Stay current with internal and Transport Canada service bulletins and safety alerts
Qualifications
Transport Canada–approved Aircraft Avionics Maintenance program
Valid TCCA AME-E License
3+ years aircraft maintenance experience
2+ years avionics installation experience
Garmin avionics experience is an asset
Skills & Capabilities
Eligible for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program
Strong ability to read technical drawings and manuals
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills
Able to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and follow safety and quality standards
