Tasks

The Tool & Equipment Technician will be responsible for planning, designing and implementing special tools and fixtures, spare parts and consumables, adaptations, test benches and measuring equipment and ensuring the usability in the workshop’s daily operations.

  • Provide dedicated planned tools and equipment and support the purchasing process;
  • Prepare, create, update and issue T&E relevant documentation (as operating and test instructions, declarations of conformity, proof of equivalence, etc.);
  • Assure the compliance with existing legal and airworthiness driven requirements;
  • Investigate faults and malfunctions in tools and equipment, define and implement measures;
  • Issue, process and monitor maintenance orders to external suppliers;
  • Support capability development/sustainability projects to expand the existing Component product portfolio.

Requirements

We are looking for a Tool and Equipment Technician that will provide our workshops with all types of equipment required for effective and efficient operations, considering up to date technologies and modern production methods.

  • Experience and good technical Knowledge of Tool and Equipment planning, design and implementation methods;
  • Strong mechanical and electrical background and proven experience
  • Good Knowledge of aircraft component maintenance processes and requirements;
  • Demanding additional qualifications related to the assigned tasks (e.g. technician, master craftsman or equivalent skills and knowledge);
  • Ability to structure, schedule and plan complex work and technical processes / issues;
  • Very good disposition, planning and design skills;
  • Strong ability to work in a team, assertiveness, good interpersonal skills;
  • Very good written and spoken Portuguese and English skills;
  • Very good computer and programming skills (e.g. MS-Office, SAP, CAD, visio, Labview).
