As a Sr Strategic Plan Specialist at Honeywell, you will play a key role in supporting and enabling the organization’s strategic planning initiatives. You will contribute to the development, execution, and governance of strategic plans by providing analysis, coordination, and high-quality deliverables that support leadership decision-making. Working closely with Strategic Planning leadership and cross-functional partners, you will help ensure strategic priorities are translated into actionable plans and effectively supported across the business.
This role impacts strategic alignment, execution, performance tracking, risk identification, stakeholder coordination, and communication. While this position does not own strategy or lead teams, it plays a critical role in ensuring strategic plans are rigorously developed, maintained, and supported.
You will report to a Sr. Director Strategic Planning and work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100 onsite M-F.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the development, maintenance, and refresh of strategic and operating plans aligned to Honeywell Aerospace priorities.
- Conduct spanet, competitive, and internal analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that inform strategic planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives.
- Prepare executive-level presentations, summaries, and dashboards for strategy reviews, operating reviews, and leadership forums.
- Track progress against strategic initiatives, milestones, and KPIs; identify gaps, risks, and dependencies and escalate appropriately.
- Support strategic planning governance processes, including planning cadences, documentation standards, and version control.
- Provide analytical support and recommendations to Strategic Planning leadership on ad-hoc strategic initiatives and special projects.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic planning, strategy, business analysis, consulting, finance, or related roles.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, matrixed environment.
