Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Staff Configuration Analyst. This position is primarily located in Roy, UT.  Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

What you will get to do:

  • Develop and maintain program level processes, procedures, workflows, work instructions and checklists
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the program IPT Leads, Program Manager, Chief Engineer, and software development lead to ensure products are generated, managed, reviewed, approved and released using sector approved processes, tools and analysis products.
  • Oversee Configuration Management and Data Management (CMDM) activities, update and maintain Program CMDM processes and plans, establish configuration-controlled baselines, maintain program Configuration Identification, Change Control, Status Accounting and Contract Deliverables throughout the product lifecycle as well as fulfilling existing CDM program processes and plans in accordance with Sentinel processes and our customer statement of work
  • Provide guidance and education to a team of 20+ people in the CDM Team
  • Ensure that CMDM team executes all requirements in the program Configuration Management Plan and Data Management Plan
  • Act as CMDM DOA at program level boards to include: TRB, JTRB, CCB, JCCB, etc.
  • Work closely with CMDM manager to assess/address team training needs
  • Customer Interface for all configuration management and data management issues
  • Work with suppliers to resolve configuration management and data management issues
  • Work with DM, HCM, SCM, CMA and PCEs to provide CMDM leadership with visibility of program issues
  • The person selected for this role will be responsible for/asked to lead teams, provide task planning and direction, produce and administer trainings, perform strategic analysis resulting in governance and planning corrections and be able to provide presentations and communicate ideas to executive leadership, the US Government, and program personnel. Must be able to build and maintain good working relationships with your team, executive leadership, the US Government, and program personnel.
  • Travel may be required up to 10

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 12 Years of relevant work experience; 10 Years with Masters. An additional 4 years of experience may be used in lieu of experience.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance investigated within the last 6 years.
  • 4 years of experience with configuration management and data management industry standards, requirements, and implementation (EIA-649-1, MIL-HDBK-61, or GEIA-859).
  • 3 years of experience developing, maintaining, collaborating policy program plans and process documents.
  • 4 years of experience working all aspects of Hardware Configuration, Software Configuration and Data Management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current Active Top-Secret Clearance.
  • Experience administering configuration and data management using Siemens Teamcenter, Jira, SharePoint, Cameo, DOORS.
  • Familiarity with DoD program lifecycles. Including planning and navigation of major milestones/events, development of technical baselines, and configuration audits.
  • Experience with design, process automation, and access control in SharePoint, Jira, and Confluence.
  • At least 1 year experience with ICBM Weapon Systems.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Salary Range: $117,800 - $176,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
