Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Specialist - Market and Community Impact is responsible for the coordination, planning, and execution of United’s community-facing programs at a local level including employee volunteerism and other community engagement programs supporting United’s local market and enterprise goals. The individual is also responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with local community partners to fully leverage these assets to support stakeholder objectives across the enterprise.

Program design, implementation and execution

  • Lead the design and execution of community engagement programs in market
  • Facilitate and gather content resources (photos, video, employee and/or customer feedback, etc) for internal and external publication
  • Work closely with local partners to develop unique programs to build United’s brand locally, enabling how United is viewed at a local level

Training and ad hoc request management

  • Manage process for one-off requests, develop and manage programming/suite of resources for employees and nonprofits to lead community events and/or participate in existing programming with minimal oversight

Partner and vendor management

  • Manage day-to-day relationship with nonprofit partners and/or vendor partners in market
  • Lead annual contract negotiations with key partners in market Maintain log of contractual partnership benefits and balances to ensure assets are fully leveraged across stakeholders in market

Program advocacy and subject matter expertise

  • Develop and maintain a network of external peers and partners to stay informed of advancements, updates and best practices in employee and customer community engagement
  • Assess other local corporations’ programs for benchmarking

The salary for this position is $73,425 to $107,690, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education and skills. This range is based on a full-time schedule.

QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work independently
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Adept at multi-tasking and time management
  • Event management skills
  • 30 travel or as needed
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
