The Pricing and Revenue Management department helps us run a successful business by predicting consumer demand and setting up pricing structures.
Job overview and responsibilities
Uniteds Revenue Strategy team is responsible for tracking, analyzing and forecasting the company’s Passenger Revenue of the company. The team produces various high visibility for the E-team and other Commercial leaders, provides recurrent analytical support, and performs revenue-related exploratory and advanced analyses to facilitate key decisions. This involves vast and complex data sources which implicate the need for strong statistical concepts, technical and analytical skillsets, visualization and business acumen – in order to navigate cross-functional problem statements.
- Execute solutions to business problems using data analysis, data mining, optimization tools, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques
- Leverage data from a variety of sources to analyze business performance, identify areas of opportunity, and provide actionable insights
- Continuously develop and demonstrate improved analysis methodologies
- Create and develop presentations for United leadership and external stakeholders
- Ensure alignment and prioritization with business objectives and initiatives – help business owners make faster, smarter decisions

- Bachelors degree in Bachelors degree in Engineering or quantitative field like Mathematics or Statistics
- At least 4+ years of experience in analytics required
- Proficient in using database querying tools and able to write complex queries and procedures using SQL
- Strong knowledge of either Python or R, and MS Excel
- Experience in manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high dimensionality data from various sources to highlight patterns and relationships
- Able to communicate complex quantitative analysis and algorithms in a clear, precise and actionable manner
- Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
- Must be fluent in English and Hindi (written and spoken)
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
Preferred
- Masters degree in Masters degree in a quantitative field of study or MBA
- Knowledge of multivariate statistical analysis and machine learning
- Familiar with any BI tools: Spotfire/ Power BI/ Tableau
