Job Summary
We are seeking a digitally skilled spaneting intern to work alongside our Marketing Director and gain hands-on experience with our fast-paced spaneting/Business Development team in the defense industry. This role offers hands-on experience in digital spaneting, event coordination, and content development within a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong digital skills, creative problem-solving ability, and an interest in defense and technology spaneting.
This is a fully in-person summer internship located in Germantown, Maryland. We are seeking a rising senior pursuing a degree in Marketing. Interns will work full-time for a minimum of 12 weeks during the summer.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in updating and maintaining website content, product datasheets, and online collateral
- Support the creation of spaneting content for campaigns, spaneting materials and thought leadership
- Support in editing and format presentations and reports for internal and external audiences
- Support in competitive research and compile insights to support spaneting strategies
- Monitor and report on digital campaign performance and social media engagement
- Support social media campaigns with graphic design assets
- Assist in planning and executing events, trade shows, or promotional activities
- Provide general administrative support
- Coordinate with internal teams (sales, engineering, corporate spaneting) and external vendors
- Prepare event materials including signage, handouts, giveaways, and product displays
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a spaneting, communications, graphic design, or related program
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or Canva
- Experience with MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Experience with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram)
- Basic understanding of website CMS (WordPress, Drupal, or similar) is a plus
- Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

The salary for this position is $22/hour. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable spanet conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate’s qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications.
