Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Planning and Scheduling Analyst - Level 4 (Senior Principal), or Level 5 (Staff) to join our Tactical Space Systems - Satellite Missions team in Dulles, VA. This position is 100 onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. Join the Space revolution and make the impossible, possible. definingpossible.

The Program Planning Scheduling Analyst will report to the Business Management Scheduling Manager and will perform detailed schedule, resource, work, and cost analysis. In this role, the incumbent will make recommendations to solve problems, create presentation content and present to various levels of leadership and will interface with multiple functional teams, supplier teams, as well as the Program/Project Manager.  This role is 100 on-site.  No telework is available.

This position can be filled at either a Level 4 or 5 and requires a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Special Compartmented Information Access.

In this job, you will:

  • Prepare, develop and coordinate the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to meet all program objectives.
  • Ensuring program schedules are horizontally and vertically integrated.
  • Implement scheduling best practices as prescribed by industry to include, but not limited to: DCMA 14-point; IPMR DI-MGMT-81861; Earned Value Management System (EVMS); Critical Path Analysis; Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA); Schedule Performance, Health Metrics and Analysis.
  • Provide weekly and monthly status and reporting.
  • Track plans and schedules.
  • Create, maintaining and validating Schedule data.
  • Performing risk analysis and management.
  • Identify and resolve critical path and network logic conflicts.
  • Utilizing Gantt, milestone charts, Earned Value Management (EVM) and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications Level 4:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 6+ years of professional experience.
  • Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.

Basic Qualifications Level 5:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of professional experience including people management experience – OR – Master’s degree with 8+ years of professional experience including people management experience.
  • Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.

Additional Basic qualifications for both levels:

  • Strong PC skills and proficient knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with scheduling software (i.e., MS Project 2016, Open Plan, PS3, Primavera P6, Milestone Professional, Deltek and SSI Tools).
  • Must have an active DoD U.S. Government Sensitive Compartmented Information Access (SCI) upon application.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in MS Project 2016.
  • Experience with resource loading Schedules.
  • Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) experience and Schedule Management.
  • Experience with Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA).

Salary Range: $120,900 - $181,300
Salary Range 2: $149,900 - $224,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
