BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in marine engineering, marine operations, naval architecture, or maritime studies; or bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of professional experience in marine transportation
- 3+ years of professional experience in marine operations
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical discipline
- USCG master license/certification
- Current or past merchant mariner credential (MMC) with ability to renew
- Professional experience working within compliance and/or management of 3+ vessels
- Experience managing class I or class L vessels
- Support engineering with objective analysis of life cycle sustainment strategies, assisting with optimizing data gathering and analysis
- Super-user of computer based maintenance, vessel & personnel management (HELM)
- Make recommendations and implementation plans for optimization of HELM across organization. Support compliance engineers with objective data for optimization of:
- Support technical project management teams and purchasing with objective evidence of
- Support, oversee risk analysis for marine operations Support Marine Operations as needed
- Strong demonstrated organization and communication skills
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to pass Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral
- Position requires a Merchant Mariner credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing in accordance with 46 CFR 16 and 49 CFR 40
- Overall mental fitness with the ability to work in a high-concentration, high-stress environment requiring prolonged mental concentration (under possible extended work hours)
- 50-hour work weeks are typical, schedule varies depending on site operational needs, flexibility required
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay range:
Operations Analyst/Level I: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00/per year
Operations Analyst/Level II: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00/per year
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
