Role title
IT Vendor Analyst Entry Level
Your role
The role of the Junior Vendor Analyst is to support the Aer Lingus IT Vendor Management Team with their day to day activities and interactions with Key Internal and External Stakeholders whilst looking at opportunities to improve processes which would enhance the delivery of IT Vendor Management services.
This is a hybrid working position, based in our offices located at Dublin Airport.
Context
The IT Vendor Management Team is a relatively new formed - small – but high performing Team. The IT Vendor Management Team support IT on a day to day basis focusing on Strategic Vendors, cost opportunities and process improvements.
While the Junior IT Vendor Analyst role isn’t a traditional software engineering position, it does sit within the IT/CDIO function and supports technology delivery in a technical environment. The role requires strong analytical capability, comfort working with data and tools such as Power BI, and an understanding of how strategic vendors operate alongside internal platforms and delivery models. It also spans IT, vendor management, analytics, and process improvement, which can narrow the graduate talent pool and extend sourcing timelines. The skills developed are relatively transferable and may increase external marketability over time, which is something to be mindful of from a retention perspective.
Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities
- IT Consultancy Agreement renewals – execute in a timely manner in conjunction with the relevant IT Stakeholder
- Help with IT SOW [Statement of Work] renewals
- Update the IT Vendor Management trackers -various excel trackers –
- Critically analyse current processes and suggest improvements – using AI / Data Tools to enhance the process flow and speed of execution for the VM Team.
- Help with the Vendor Management intake log a process flow for Vendor Management to analyse volume of transactions – help build out knowledge pages and maintain them, create workflows - triage and assign tickets to other team members.
- Prepare monthly IT Vendor Management newsletter / monthly insights –for announcements to IT re process changes.
- Assist the Contracts Manager in building a preferred IT Vendor Agency list
Your qualifications and key criteria
Essential Qualifications/Experience
- IT or related Degree close to Vendor Management or Procurement.
Essential competencies/skills
- Analytic skills, Communication skills, attention to detail.
Desirable Criteria
- Proven experience of working in a Team environment
- Knowledge of PowerBI, Analytical Tools.
