As an IT Program Governance Specialist here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for owning and enhancing the methodology, governance framework, and tools essential for the successful delivery of projects. Your expertise will ensure that our project management frameworks are effective and aligned with our organizational goals, facilitating transparency and operational excellence.
You will report directly to our Sr Director of IT, and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona or Charlotte, North Carolina location. For external hires, the first 90 days will be onsite before transitioning to a hybrid, 3/2 schedule.
You will play a vital role in the dynamic PMO, contributing to the successful delivery of the SAP S/4 Transformation journey through rigorous project management methodology. This position provides an excellent opportunity to utilize your analytical-oriented skills in a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own and maintain the project governance framework, ensuring consistency and adherence across all projects.
- Develop, adjust, and enhance project methodologies and processes based on feedback and evolving organizational needs.
- Design and manage reporting tools and dashboards used for project delivery, ensuring clarity and accessibility of information.
- Take ownership of PMO tools, ensuring they are utilized effectively to support project management initiatives.
- Collaborate with project teams to gather feedback on methodology and refine templates for improved efficiency.
- Train and support project managers and teams in the adoption of governance frameworks and tools.
Travel, between 10 - 20, may be expected.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE:
- 5 plus years of experience in IT project management or PMO related experience
- Proven experience in project governance methodology, tools, and processes.
- A track record of creating and refining project methodologies and reporting tools.
- Familiarity with PMO tools and their application in project management (Jira, SharePoint, Smartsheet).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
