PURPOSE: The Flight Operations Administrator will be focused on maintaining all administrative tasks for the Head of Flight Operations and Chief Piot through transparent communication, keeping things simple, and treating all with kindness and respect.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Use discretion when handling sensitive information in a confidential manner, using good judgement in administering and handling projects involving financial, competitive, and other critical and sensitive information. 
  • Ensure streamlined Flight Operations processes. 
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement the training scheduling for pilots, utilizing simulators, and pilot instructors. 
  • Schedule recurrent training for pilots. 
  • Create all Crew surveys for input and feedback on departmental changes and policies. 
  • Prepare Crew communications where necessary on behalf of Head of Flight Operations or Chief Pilot. 
  • Maintain and track Flight Ops Admin expense reports. 
  • Coordination with vendors. 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma required 
  • College degree preferred 
  • Basic understanding of airline operations and crew scheduling / management software applications 
  • Strong knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite? 
  • Ability to identify issues, concerns or patterns and problem solve in a timely manner  
  • Focus on accuracy, effectiveness, and simplicity  
  • Detail-oriented problem solver with strong critical thinking and time management skills  
  • Effective organizational and planning skills 
  • Ability to function in a high-stress environment 
  • Must be able to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team-based environment 
  • Exceptional administrative and time management skills 
  • Data entry experience 
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail 
  • Excellent Communications skills 
  • Quick learner and ability to be assertive 
  • Ability to follow direction and work independently as required 
  • Strong interpersonal skills 
  • Flight Operations experience preferred 
  • Previous aviation operations experience and knowledge of airline and aviation terminology preferred
