Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Executive Administrative Assistant to support the VP and CISO at the Corporate Office at our Falls Church, Virginia location. As a valued member of the senior leadership team, the Executive Assistant is the center of day-to-day office operations and will be welcomed into a team environment where input is invited, growth is encouraged, and mutual support is the standard. The Executive Assistant communicates with enterprise-wide partners, executives, administrative and line management employees. This position requires the individual to perform advanced administrative duties with exposure to sensitive information necessitating discretion, diplomacy, and judgment. Strong emotional intelligence and integrity are essential for this position. In addition, the candidate must be comfortable working in a high energy, collaborative, diverse, professional environment.

The ideal candidate will be team-oriented, can work with other professionals collaboratively, possess agility and the desire to adapt to constantly changing demands and new tools/technologies, demonstrate a capability to take on new and unfamiliar tasks and have a tremendous interest in playing a significant role as a member of the leadership team. Advanced proficiency at multi-tasking and managing priorities for senior leadership team members is required. This position is extremely pivotal to the success of this critical operation and the successful candidate will demonstrate how they have supported their prior teams through organization, self-motivation, and task ownership skills, with the ability to accomplish duties in a high-impact, time sensitive environment. The successful candidate will have outstanding communication and negotiation abilities. This position may require occasional nonstandard work hours in support of business schedules, as well as the ability to obtain and retain a Top Secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and a minimum of six years additional education and/or experience in the administrative professional field or a Bachelors degree with two years experience in the administrative professional field.
  • Must have experience in either government or a large technology-oriented company
  • Experience engaging with high level customers and executive visitors as a face of the company
  • Computer skills required include advanced expertise in Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and intranet/internet proficiency.
  • Experience working with industry and government leaders in the defense industrial base, financial or other critical sector that requires time-sensitive responses

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with top (or former) government and industry officials
  • Ability to swiftly adapt to new tools/technologies
  • Prior experience working on a team where agile methodologies/digital tools existed
  • Experience with cybersecurity or audit personnel and responsibilities either directly or indirectly
  • Prior government or regulatory-related experience
  • Experience participating and hosting in-person and remote Video Teleconference meetings (i.e. Zoom, Skype, WebEx)

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Prior experience coordinating both on and off-site meetings and/or events.
  • Experience proofreading and correcting documents for grammatical errors.
  • Proactive, highly motivated, and adaptable, with excellent organizational skills including the ability to juggle multiple tasks, changing needs, and competing priorities.
  • Expert level proficiency with oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have experience in supporting a variety of executive levels, management level and administrative support within an organization.
  • Must be able to interface with executive level internal and external contacts with considerable autonomy.
Salary Range: $69,300 - $115,500
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
