What is the position: The Crew Scheduler is responsible for keeping current and accurate records of crew duty and rest activity. The Crew Scheduler will keep operational personnel informed of crew rest issues, scheduling conflicts, and legality concerns, which may arise.
Essential Functions:
- The Crew Scheduler tracks absences and assigns open flights to available Crew Members.
- The Crew Scheduler will ensure all schedule change notifications are accomplished. The Crew Scheduler will record all crew exceptions in the Crew Management System.
- Responsible for assigning and booking deadhead flights for on-duty crew movements. Hotel accommodations will be booked as required.
- Regular attendance is essential for all positions at CommuteAir.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Multitask calmly and efficiently in a high-stress and fast-paced environment.
- Intermediate level computer knowledge and typing skills, ability to learn company operations software.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Some college coursework is a plus.
- Minimum age is 21 years.
- Knowledge of airline and aviation terminology and/or aviation experience preferred.
- Organized with the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities regularly.
- Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language.
- Legally authorized to work in the USA
Schedule:
The Crew Scheduling Department operates on a 24/7 basis with various shifts from 1st, mid, 2nd, and 3rd. Work (4) 10-hour shifts/days with 3 consecutive days off each week. All employees must be able to work any shift as needed, and shifts are bid quarterly.

- Ability to comprehend verbal instructions in person and by phone and apply to the situation.
Visual Acuity:
Includes inspection, close assembly, clerical administrative; This is a minimal standard for use with those whose work deals largely with preparing and analyzing data and figures, accounting, computer, extensive reading.
Environmental Conditions:
Inside environmental conditions; protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
