OnsiteThe Interiors Division of Collins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies business, is looking for an EH&S Generalist for its Jamestown, ND location! The successful candidate will report directly to the site EH&S Manager but must be able to work autonomously with little direct oversight.
This role acts as a partner in EH&S by formulating and administering EH&S plans, procedures, and providing EH&S Program Management, has responsibility for multiple EH&S specialties, may perform tasks associated with Health/Safety and Environmental/Compliance, and coordinates with business partners for EH&S concerns regarding facilities and employee practices. Other responsibilities include organizing and maintaining EH&S policies to achieve and maintain compliance with regulations and will manage relationships across other functions and departments to achieve and maintain compliance with EH&S regulations and RTX requirements.
There is a Strong preference for this role to be onsite 5 days per week. However, there may be potential to consider a hybrid schedule (3-4 days onsite) for an ideal candidate. This role may be eligible for relocation.
What You Will Do:
- Apply knowledge of the EH&S disciplines to provide advice, support, and technical guidance on moderate to complex issues.
- Manage site environmental compliance program such as Air (NESHAP 6H and 6W), Water (Wastewater Treatment & Stormwater), Hazardous Waste (LQG and RCRA), Chemicals (EPCRA/TSCA/TRI) and associated procedures and reporting necessary to ensure compliance with all applicable environmental regulations, site permits, and corporate requirements.
- Prepare regulatory reports for submittal to various regulatory government agencies including recordkeeping and monitoring confirmation prior to certifying compliance.
- Manage and oversee permit-related activities such as initial applications, modifications, renewals and renovation.
- Support facility audits and inspections by RTX and/or regulatory agencies. Keep up to date with changes in regulations and standards to ensure ongoing compliance. Develop and manage compliance strategies to minimize and mistake proof regulatory compliance risks, including onsite visual inspections and audits.
- Assist in the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials
- Represent assigned environmental programs in the site’s collaborative change management process to ensure risks associated with facility, equipment or process modifications are avoided, controlled or otherwise minimized.
- Provide in-person facility EH&S program support to various departments to address or prevent conditions that may adversely impact the environment and to ensure prompt communication and resolution of potential hazards to management.
- Develop and implement site green team focusing on reducing environmental impact. Support company sustainability initiatives by participating in environmental conservation and waste reduction programs.
- Provide EH&S training as required by legislation or Collins/RTX requirements.
- Support the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and recommend preventive measures
- Identify opportunities eliminate and control hazards to prevent injuries and illness and improve site safety culture.
- Assist in site Occupational Health program, Worker’s Compensation activities, the return-to-work program, and Industrial Hygiene monitoring.
- Periodically being on call 24 hours a day to respond to spills and / or environmental incidents.
- Adhere to the RTX Code of Conduct and perform other duties as required.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a degree in environmental, health and safety and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62
- Detailed knowledge of OSHA regulation concerning Environment, Health and Safety
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, along with various other software functions.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental, health and safety
- Experience with any the following environmental compliance programs such as Air (NESHAP 6H and 6W), Water (Wastewater Treatment & Stormwater), Hazardous Waste (LQG and RCRA), Chemicals (EPCRA/TSCA/TRI) and associated procedures and reporting
- Experience working with the Environmental Protection Act
- Relevant experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment
- Project management experience
- Continuous Improvement experience e.g. CORE, Six Sigma, LEAN etc. strongly desired

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
