As our new Crew Rostering Analyst you will work closely with other teams in the crew chain and your main task will be the planning of crew members duty rosters to ensure the best utilization,

fatigue mitigation, robustness, and crew satisfaction possible by effective use of systems, data and operational knowledge.

The role is based in our office at Fornebu and reports to Manager Crew Rostering.

You are our ideal candidate if you have:

  • A degree in Transportation, Logistics, Economics, Business administration, IT or equivalent
  • Experience in analytical work.
  • The ability to improve processes and look for cost efficient improvements.
  • Relevant experience within transportation, logistics, operations or scheduling – which can compensate for lack of desired education.
  • Knowledge about applicable rules and regulations within the aviation industry.
  • Advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Excellent English proficiency, both written and spoken.
  • A Scandinavian language is also a distinct advantage.

  • Business orientated with the ability to balance the strategic, operational and human factors involved in working with crew rosters.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Optimizing the use of Norwegian´s crew resources to provide the best solution which considers and balances productivity, fatigue, robustness, and crew member satisfaction.
  • Utilizing Norwegian´s systems and data to secure the overall optimisation process which includes working actively with systems set-up, analysis of results and problem solving to develop the most holistic solution.
  • Planning the crew members´ duty rosters and ensuring that the rosters are compliant with the applicable rules and regulations before the roster is released to crew and released within the deadlines set by the aviation authorities and local agreements.
  • Optimal planning of standby duties according to quotas to give the best standby utilization possible.
  • Preparing relevant crew data for reporting.
  • Following all rules, regulations and policies to ensure quality rosters are published.
  • Updating and monitoring relevant trackers, reports and spreadsheets.
  • Participating in projects and initiatives concerning crew planning and the crew planning/rostering system.
  • Performing analytical tasks and reports on behalf of the department.
  • Providing feedback on crew utilization and continuous improvement of the planning process.
  • The results related to the crew members within your area of responsibility and will be measured on performance related to productivity, completeness, robustness & fatigue mitigation
