Job Summary
The Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in bridging business needs and technical execution for IndiGo’s B2C spanetplace. This role involves analysing business processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and translating requirements into actionable insights and deliverables.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, QA, and Design to ensure that solutions are aligned with strategic business objectives and customer needs. The role requires strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
Experience in Aviation, Travel, Hospitality, or E-commerce projects will be considered a strong advantage.
Job Role
Requirement Gathering & Documentation:
Engage with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyse business and technical requirements for ongoing and upcoming projects.
Process Analysis & Improvement:
Evaluate current IT systems and business processes to identify areas for optimization and efficiency gains.
Solution Design & Validation:
Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and project managers to ensure proposed solutions meet business objectives and quality standards.
Functional Documentation:
Prepare functional specifications, user stories, and process flow diagrams for system development and enhancements.
Testing & Implementation Support:
Assist in testing and validating IT solutions, ensuring seamless deployment and functionality across systems.
Data-Driven Insights:
Conduct data analysis to generate actionable insights and support business decision-making.
Change & Stakeholder Communication:
Provide regular updates on project progress and ensure stakeholder alignment through reports and presentations.
End-User Enablement:
Develop training materials, user manuals, and support documentation for smooth adoption of new tools or processes.
Compliance & Governance:
Ensure all solutions align with organizational goals, data governance, and compliance frameworks.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
Experience: 2 - 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner, preferably in B2C or digital spanetplace environments
Technical Expertise:
Business Analysis Tools: Jira, Confluence, Miro, Lucid chart
Data Analysis: Excel, Power BI, SQL (for reporting and insights)
Methodologies: Agile (Scrum/Kanban), SDLC, User Story Mapping
Documentation: BRDs, FRDs, User Stories, Use Cases, Process Flows
Domain Expertise: Aviation, Travel, Hospitality, E-commerce, or B2C Platforms
Technical Understanding: APIs, integrations, and backend workflows
