We have an exciting new onsite opportunity for a Senior Manager FP&A and Accounting located at our turbine airfoil production facility in Asheville, North Carolina.
What You Will Do:
- This position will report to site finance controller and will have financial controls and FP&A responsibilities for the turbine airfoil production facility in Asheville, North Carolina.
- This position in Operations Finance allows for the opportunity to work close to our product allowing for a greater understanding of our Pratt & Whitney approach.
- Pratt & Whitney chooses to source and/or to manufacture our product within our factories and this position will allow for a first hand understanding around strategic Pratt investments leading to a stronger impact in addressing structural costs and improving processes.
- The position offers great exposure to our factory environment and everything that goes along with delivering some of the most advanced aerospace parts in the industry.
- This position also offers exposure to senior shop leadership while also allowing you to interact with numerous organizations across P&W; Finance, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Programs, Planning, as well as the factory and cell floor leads within Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a support to site finance controller for all HSMC-Asheville (NC) financial activities and integration processes.
- Support the leadership in driving accountability and ownership, while fostering an environment for continuous improvement and learning promote and facilitate a compliance-based culture with adoption and implementation of Sarbanes Oxley requirements and testing, while establishing controls that follow RTX financial policies and procedures.
- Support controller in partnering with various finance groups (FP&A, Mfg. Accounting, Part Cost, HSMC, etc.) to develop and implement month-end closing and MML processes that are aligned to the Asheville value-stream and meet MC&O deadlines and financial requirements.
- Establish budgets for operating annual and monthly expenses to include headcount, factory expenses, engineering costs and MRL activities.
- Prepare monthly shop forecasts by working closely with the operations team to deliver on commitments and providing timely R&O to leadership throughout the month.
- Co-lead annual plan and long-range financial planning efforts for the site evaluate and support cost reduction projects focused around NGPF/F135 WOC activities; establish metrics that shine the light on the operational parameters that drive financial outcomes.
- Act as a business partner to all business leadership and support site controller.
- Capital Investment and AUC translations $100M+ in 2024 and 2025 given HSRI requirements.
- Part cost management and NIC value update coordination as we progress to a full rate production shop; this would include dotted line accountability for time standards with Industrial Engineers (similar to benchspan NB process)
Audit support (ACA, Internal, Other).
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree with a concertation/major in Finance/Accounting or related field and 10+ years of finance/accounting; OR an advanced degree and 8+ of finance/accounting experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of management and communicate effectively with peers and customers.
- Proficiency or previous experience with Excel, SAP and HFM.
- Understanding of manufacturing accounting and GAAP principles.
- US Citizenship is required due to USG products produced at the facility.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
