Central Mountain Air is proudly emerging as of one Canada’s leading regional airlines. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a full-time Senior Accounting Analyst to join our dynamic team at our Calgary, AB base.

In this role, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of core general accounting functions, including account reconciliations and month-end close support, with additional responsibility for financial analysis and management reporting. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial records while delivering meaningful insights to support internal decision making.
Job ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations.
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, including journal entries and accruals.
Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with ASPE.
Perform variance analysis and explain period-over-period changes in financial results.
Support management reporting through analysis of financial data and key drivers.
Assist with budgeting and forecast support through data preparation and analysis.
Investigate and resolve accounting issues, discrepancies, and unusual transactions.
Support internal and external audits and ensure adherence to internal controls.
Document accounting procedures and contribute to process improvements.
Serve as a resource for junior staff on accounting and reconciliation matters.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
4–7+ years of progressive general accounting experience.
Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and account reconciliations.
Working knowledge of management accounting concepts (cost behavior, variance analysis, performance metrics).
Solid understanding of ASPE and internal controls.
Strong Excel skills (Power Query, Power BI, advanced excel skills).
Ability to manage deadlines, work independently, and exercise sound judgment.
