Northrop Grumman is seeking an Accountant 2 candidate to utilize SAP, Service Now, and Open Text to support Accounts Payable functions in accordance with generally accepted
accounting principles, company policies and procedures, disclosure statements and Government regulations.
This position will require an on-site presence in Irving, Texas for a minimum of 2 days per week. This position does not allow for a full time virtual arrangement.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare departmental and sector reports.
- Support Accounts Payable team in accordance with GAAP, company policies and procedures, corporate disclosure statements, and government regulations including FAR.
- Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to develop innovative solutions to a variety of problems of high scope and complexity
- Support month-end accruals, audit responses, and manage interface postings
- Create & Monitor metrics and proactively identify and execute process improvements
- Participation in the definition, implementation, and optimization of automated systems and processes, and support for special projects, as required
- Interface with technical administrators on system performance and process maintenance relating to regular and special payable activities
- Serve as key point of contact for Manager of A/P Solutions, A/P Solutions Lead and A/P processors on departmental issues
This position will require demonstrated leadership abilities and excellent communication, organization and analytical skills. Our ideal candidate will be able to handle multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines.
Basic qualifications include:
- BA/BS in Accounting/Finance or related field plus 5 years of related experience required. Equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong understanding of FAR, GAAP, and SOX requirements
- Experience leading group meetings.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience working with AP and GL portions of SAP FI module
- Experience with Alteryx, ServiceNow dashboard creation, and Tableau
- Government Contracting experience
Salary Range: $77,000 - $115,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
